Terms of Use
- Reading the prompts is free, and you can write with some of them for free before you buy anything.
- Purchases unlock themes or features for the Google account you use to buy them.
- All sales are final. If something goes wrong with a payment or an unlock, email us and we'll make it right.
- What you write is yours. The prompts are Jen Kramer's writing, shared for your personal use.
About these terms
The Thankful Heart Journal is made by Jen Kramer of Thankful Heart Ministries. By using the journal, you agree to these terms. If you have a question, email thankfulheartministries@gmail.com.
Trying it before you buy
Anyone can read every prompt for free. Before you buy, you can also write with the first prompts of each theme and make a number of free entries without prompts. The app shows what's included for free. Please use the free preview to decide whether the journal is right for you before purchasing.
Purchases
- Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Prices are shown in U.S. dollars before you pay.
- Each purchase is a one-time payment, not a subscription. You won't be charged again.
- A purchase unlocks the theme or feature you bought for the Google account you were signed in with when you bought it. Sign in with that same account on any of your devices to use what you bought.
- Your access lasts for as long as the Thankful Heart Journal is offered. If we ever stop offering it, we'll give notice in the app and make sure you have time to download your entries.
- Themes listed as "In progress" aren't for sale yet.
All sales are final
Because you can try the journal for free before buying, and because purchases are digital and unlock immediately, all sales are final and we don't offer refunds, except where the law requires one.
We will always fix genuine problems. If you were charged twice, were charged by mistake, or paid and the theme or feature didn't unlock, email thankfulheartministries@gmail.com with the email address of your Google account and roughly when you paid. We'll either get the unlock working or refund the charge.
Your journal
Everything you write belongs to you. It's stored on your device and, if you sign in, in your own Google Drive, as described in the Privacy Policy. You're responsible for keeping it safe. We recommend signing in with Google or downloading a backup now and then, since clearing your browser's data or losing a device can erase entries that were only stored there. We can't recover entries for you, because we never have a copy.
The prompts and content
The prompts, reflections, and other writing in the journal come from the Thankful Heart blog and are © Jen Kramer. You're welcome to use them for your own personal journaling, and to share short quotes with a link back to the blog. Please don't copy, republish, or sell the content, or share access to paid themes outside your own use.
Scripture quotations are provided by outside services and remain under their own copyrights and terms.
Changes to the journal
We may improve or change the journal over time, including adding new prompts, themes, and features. If these terms change, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date. Changes won't take away anything you've already bought.
The fine print
The journal is offered as a devotional and reflective tool. It isn't a substitute for counseling, medical, or mental health care. If you're struggling, please reach out to your church or a medical professional. If you'd like biblical counseling, we highly recommend an ACBC Certified biblical counselor; you can search for one at biblicalcounseling.com. (We're not affiliated with ACBC.)
If you're in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please call or text 988 (the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, in the U.S.) or call 911 right away.
We work hard to keep the journal running well, but it's provided "as is," without guarantees that it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, our responsibility for any problem with the journal is limited to the amount you paid for it.
